Why in news?
India sent a consignment of life‑saving medicines to the Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in March 2026 as humanitarian assistance. The aid, delivered by the Indian Navy ship INS Trikand, emphasises India’s solidarity with the Global South and support for its diaspora.
