Background
DAY‑NRLM was launched in 2011 to organise rural women into self‑help groups, provide credit and improve livelihoods. In early years records were maintained on paper, making monitoring difficult. LokOS was conceived as a web‑ and mobile‑based core banking system for these groups. It assigns each member a unique digital ID and captures transactions electronically.
